  • Virtual reality exposure: This uses computer-generated simulations to create realistic exposure experiences. For instance, a person with a fear of flying might experience a simulated flight in a virtual reality environment.

Exposure therapy typically involves a gradual process, starting with less intense exposure and gradually progressing to more challenging situations. This allows the individual to build their tolerance to anxiety and develop coping mechanisms. The therapist plays a crucial role in guiding the individual through the exposure process and providing support and encouragement.

  1. So I have the fear for heights and one time I tried going higher and higher but when I looked down, I had the urge to jump 😂 😂 😂 😂

    1. Hahahaha. Please don’t jump. That urge to jump also happens to me. It is known as Vertigo.
