Splashed!

The world is a beautiful place, especially after a rain. The air is fresh, the flowers are blooming, and the earth is alive with new life. But there is one downside to post-rain bliss: the mud.

Mud is necessary in nature of course. It helps to nourish the plants and keep the soil healthy. But it can also be a nuisance, especially when you’re trying to walk around.

One of the most frustrating things about mud is when you mistakenly splash yourself with it. Haha!

You’re minding your own business, walking down the sidewalk, enjoying the fresh air. Then, out of nowhere, you step on a brick and the brown goodness is all over you.

Apparently, you’d been waiting for the rain to stop so that you’ll quickly get somewhere, now you’ve splashed yourself with mud that seemed to come from nowhere…

Getting splashed with mud is a nuisance at any time, but it’s especially frustrating when you’re in a hurry. You’re trying to get somewhere important, but now you’re covered in mud and you don’t have time to clean up.

So what do you do?

Here are a few tips:

  1. Take a deep breath and relax. You can get flustered when you’re covered in mud, but it won’t help you get to your destination any faster. Take a few deep breaths and remind yourself that it’s just mud and it will wash off eventually.
  2. Assess the damage. Where are you most covered in mud? Is it your clothes, your shoes, or your hair? Once you know where the mud is, you can start to develop a plan to clean it up.
  3. If possible, find a place to wash up. If you’re close to a sink or bathroom, take a few minutes to rinse off the mud. This will help to remove the worst of it and make it easier to clean up later.
  4. If you can’t find a place to wash up, try to minimize the mess. You can try to brush off as much mud as possible before you get to your destination.
  5. Don’t be afraid to laugh it off. When you splash yourself with mud, it is embarrassing, but it’s also kind of funny. If you can laugh at yourself, it will make the whole situation a little bit easier to handle.

If you’re really in a hurry, you can just wait until you get to your destination to clean up. But if you have a few minutes, it’s better to clean up the mud as soon as possible. This will help to prevent the mud from drying and setting in.

Most importantly, try to be really careful while walking, especially after it rains, so as to avoid a splashed situation!

  1. Let me share a similar experience. I was all dressed in white feeling very happy with myself, I decided to take a stroll to a friends house( forgetting it had just rained😂). Half way into my journey, a vehicle just sped past and your truly was covered in muddy water😂😂😂. I was too embarrassed to move😂😂. Lesson learnt the hard way.
